The Cross Was Not the End…
It Was the Beginning!
The Cross Changed Everything
I often sit in quiet awe when I think about what happened the day Jesus was crucified. In just a few hours, the entire world was shaken—physically, spiritually, and eternally. It wasn’t just a historical event! It was the most important moment in all of human history.
God’s judgment fell that day—but not on us. It fell on His perfect Son.
The thick veil in the Temple—the one that once separated sinful people from a holy God—was torn in two from top to bottom. Mark 15:37-38 That was our invitation, “Come in. The way is open now.”
The earth trembled and rocks split open, as if creation itself cried out at the death of its Creator. Matthew 27:51
Graves broke open. Saints were raised to life—proof that even death couldn’t stand in the presence of the Savior. Matthew 27:52-53
And a Roman soldier, a Centurion, a hardened man who had seen countless crucifixions, stood at the foot of the Cross and said what we’re still proclaiming to this day: “Truly, this was the Son of God.” Matthew 27:54
This soldier was a pagan, he didn’t grow up in a Church or Synagogue. He didn’t know the Scriptures. But when he saw it all, he believed.
“Jesus said to him, ‘Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed.
Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.’”
John 20:29 (NKJV)
And the soldiers’ belief and this scripture tells me that Jesus-Yeshua came for everyone. Jew and Gentile, rich and poor, church-goer and skeptic. His grace is wider than your past, wider than your deepest regret, wider than the pain you don’t talk about. It’s big enough to hold every broken piece of your story, strong enough to carry what you can’t, and gentle enough to meet you exactly where you are and not with shame, but with open arms. His love is deeper than the loneliness you’ve felt, deeper than the wounds you try to hide, deeper than the questions you’ve never dared to ask out loud. It reaches into the darkest corners, sits with you in the silence, and refuses to let go, even when you feel unworthy, even when you push it away. His love doesn’t waver. It stays, it heals, it restores.
His invitation is still open! And it’s not just an invitation for the perfect or the put-together, but for the weary, the wandering, and the wondering. He hasn’t closed the door. He’s still calling your name. No matter how far you’ve gone, how long it’s been, or how broken you feel. He’s not done with you. He’s waiting with open arms, offering peace for your chaos, purpose for your pain, and rest for your soul. All you have to do is come.
The message that went out from the Cross on that day? It hasn’t stopped echoing, and it still calls to us… His message is a message of HOPE, it’s the gift of LIFE. When Jesus spoke, He offered something eternal, and His words were not empty or temporary. They were life-giving. Every promise He made, every truth He shared, every act of mercy and healing pointed to this: You are not forgotten. You are not alone. You are deeply loved.
And His message hasn’t changed.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrew 13:8 (NKJV)
The good news of Jesus is “a gift of hope” for the hopeless, the brokenhearted, the tired and discouraged. It’s a light that shines even in the darkest places. It whispers, “There is more than this moment. There is a purpose beyond the pain. There is beauty still to come.”
The best news is it’s more than just hope for tomorrow. It’s also “a gift of life,” real life, eternal life, and an abundant life. Not just surviving, but truly living: forgiven, free, restored, and walking with the One who created you and gave His life for you.
Jesus didn’t come to make bad people behave better. He came to bring the dead back to life. He came to rescue, to redeem, to invite us into a relationship that will never end.
And like any true gift, we don’t have to earn it. We just have to receive it.

Jesus-Yeshua is the Messiah. He is the Son of God. He is the only Way, the only Truth, and the only Life!
My dear friend, do you believe it? Will you tell someone else? If so, when will you tell someone else? Because what happened on the cross on that hill wasn’t just powerful—it was personal.
Jesus-Yeshua is our Lord and Savior, and He is still changing lives today.
What happened on the Cross wasn’t just a moment in time — it was the beginning of something that’s still unfolding around the world today. Jesus didn’t stay in the grave. He rose again, and He’s very much alive today. And I can tell you that He’s still reaching people, still forgiving, still healing hearts, still giving peace in the middle of chaos, still breaking chains, still restoring what felt lost forever.
He’s meeting people right where they are: in hospital rooms, in jail cells, in quiet bedrooms where someone is crying out for help. He finds us in our shame, in our grief, in our fears, and He doesn’t turn away. He steps right in and says, “I see you. I love you. And I’ve already made a way.”
He’s changing anger into gentleness. He’s turning bitterness into forgiveness.
He’s giving strength to people who thought they couldn’t take another step.
He’s replacing guilt with grace and giving hope where there used to be despair.
His Grace and Love aren’t just something I’ve heard about; it’s something I’ve lived:
I’ve been on my knees before God — not out of routine, but out of desperation. I was broken, raw, and fully aware of my own unfaithfulness. My heart was heavy with guilt, and I came before Him truly repentant, crying out for His mercy.
And then… something happened that I will never forget.
As I poured out my heart, my eyes closed in prayer, the room around me suddenly filled with a brightness that was almost blinding… even through my closed eyes. It wasn’t a light from this world. It was something holy… something I can’t quite describe, but deep within my spirit, I knew God was near.
The atmosphere changed. I felt wrapped in His presence and not with judgment, but with love. And then, right there in the midst of that stillness, a prayer I had been praying for over two years was answered. Just like that — literally in a split second! No delay. No waiting. No more wondering.
What I had pleaded for, wept over, and waited on… He gave.
My prayer was answered, not because I got everything right. But because He is full of mercy. Because His grace runs deeper than my failure. Because His timing is perfect. That moment changed me forever. I didn’t just feel forgiven, I felt seen, heard, and loved. That bright light — that overwhelming presence — was not just a sign of God’s glory… it was a reminder that He comes close to the brokenhearted.
I share this not to draw attention to my experience, but to draw attention to the One who met me there.
His grace and love aren’t just something I’ve heard about; it’s something I’ve lived. And I know I’m not the only one who can testify to His faithfulness, His mercy, and the way He shows up right on time — even in the moments we least expect it.
So if you’re still waiting…Still praying…Still hoping… Keep going! He hears you.
And when the time is right and when your heart is ready, He shows up in ways that will take your breath away.
He is faithful. He is near. And He is still changing lives — even now.
All over the world, hearts are still being softened, life stories are still being rewritten, and there are people still finding that the emptiness they carried can finally be filled, and not by stuff, not by success, not even by other people, but by the love of Jesus.
This is what the Cross made possible, and this is what grace looks like. His Grace is for me, it’s for you, and it’s for the entire world. It’s available the moment you believe, the moment you trust in what Jesus-Yeshua did for humanity on “the cross”! So YES, the Cross changed everything, and it’s calling you to “BELIEVE” in the ONE that God sent to save us.
And Jesus is still changing everything… one life, one heart, one story at a time. Maybe even yours today.
Heavenly Father,
In Your Son’s Name, Jesus-Yeshua, we pray. You see the one who’s tired and worn out by life, burdened by worries they’ve been carrying far too long. Wrap them in Your peace right now. Let them feel You near. Breathe new strength into their heart and remind them they don’t have to keep doing this alone. You are their refuge and rest.
You see the one who’s wandered. The one who may feel too far gone, too ashamed to come back to YOU. But You never stopped loving them. Although they have turned away from you, You are “faithful” and have never turned away from them. Gently lead them back to You. Let them know that Your arms are still open, and that nothing they’ve done can separate them from Your grace.
And Lord, for the one who’s wondering, the one with questions, with doubts, and with wounds they don’t understand, meet them right where they are. You are not surprised or shaken by their honesty. Please receive it with love and grace. Draw them in with truth, with love, with a whisper that says, “I’m here. I’ve always been here.”
Jesus, thank You that Your love still reaches into our mess. Thank You that the Cross still has power today. We come to You just as we are. Please make us new.
Amen.
“They looked to Him and were radiant,
And their faces were not ashamed.
This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him,
And saved him out of all his troubles.
The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him,
And delivers them.”
Psalm 34:5–7 (NKJV)
