What does Our Father in Heaven Really Want?

Keep your eyes on Jesus…everything else is fleeting…

It only took Peter a split second to begin sinking when he took his eyes off of Jesus…

Matthew 14:25-30 (KJV)

And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.

26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.

27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.

28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.

29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

Our Father in Heaven doesn’t just want to exist in us…He wants to live in us!  He designed us for His Glory!   This is why in the beginning He created us and why He died for us in the form of Jesus the Messiah – Yeshua Hamashiach (Hebrew).  When He died for us, He sent His Spirit to dwell in those who believe He is the Son of YHWH and who are obedient to Him.

Please read the following blogs in regards to obedience. https://jesusamazinggrace.com/2020/04/13/knowing-god-and-obeying-the-gospel-pt-1/ and https://jesusamazinggrace.com/2020/04/19/knowing-god-and-obeying-the-gospel-pt-2/

The following Scriptures are taken from the Holman Christian Standard Bible.

1 Corinthians 14:15 So it is written: The first man Adam became a living being; the last Adam (Jesus) became a life-giving Spirit. When we are born again, the Holy Spirit of God comes to live in us and we’re given the free gift of eternal life. John3:3-6 Jesus replied, “I assure you: Unless someone is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” “But how can anyone be born when he is old?” Nicodemus asked Him. “Can he enter his mother’s womb a second time and be born?” Jesus answered, “I assure you: Unless someone is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. Whatever is born of the flesh is flesh, and whatever is born of the Spirit is spirit.”

John 3:16 “For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.

John14:15 If you love Me, you will keep My commands.

Jesus asked in Luke 6:46 “Why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do the things I say?”  Then He follows up with the parable of two foundations: in Luke 6:47-49 I will show you what someone is like who comes to Me, hears My words, and acts on them: 48 He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. When the flood came, the river crashed against that house and couldn’t shake it, because it was well built. 49 But the one who hears and does not act is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The river crashed against it, and immediately it collapsed. And the destruction of that house was great!”

Is your foundation on sinking sand?  Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of My Father in heaven.  Acts 5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

When we choose Jesus as our Savior, and the more we want and allow Christ to fill us day by day, we become like Him. I chose the word allow, because we can quench the Holy Spirit by our thoughts, words and actions. Heavenly Father is fair and man has been given free will to make our choices in this world. We can either choose to build a solid foundation on the WORD (John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.) or we can build our foundation on the WORLD of sinking sand!

A Warning about the World

1 John 2:15-18 Do not love the world or the things that belong to the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him. 16 For everything that belongs to the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride in one’s lifestyle—is not from the Father, but is from the world. 17 And the world with its lust is passing away, but the one who does God’s will remains forever.

The more our words, actions, and countenance express Him (Jesus) the more we become pleasing to Father in Heaven. 2 Corinthians 2:15 For to God we are the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.

When He lives in us and through us ALL of our virtues will be a reflection of Christ; Our love and our compassion, our kindness and forbearance will be His because we can have none of these qualities without Him.  Jesus by nature is loving, forgiving, kind, patient, compassionate, humble & gentle (Matthew 11:29), self-controlled, just and merciful.

This is what God really wants!

Jesus is first in my life and as a result, my existence in this world is bearable; I want nothing less than every day of my life to bring Him glory. I'm in continuous watch and prayer for Him to come again. My desire is to share the Kingdom of God with anyone who will listen...time is short...He's coming soon! I love the beauty of the planet He made for mankind. I know that some day when He comes again He'll destroy it, but in the meantime I do my best to treat His gift with respect. I love people, animals, birds, trees (I'm a tree hugger), flowers (roses are my favorite), the snow, the rain, the wind and the sunshine. I realize how blessed I am to be living now and also blessed to be born in a country that allows freedom of speech and religion! Free to share my thoughts and inspirations. I also realize that there are consequences to everything that I share with you, so I'll always ask for God's wisdom and revelation while writing and before I publish. ALL questions are welcomed! I can't promise that I'll be able to give you the answer you want, but I'll answer honestly and with scriptures from the Bible. I use both the KJV and the HCSB as my resources.
